At Staverton Primary School, we priorise the mental health and wellbeing of our children, staff and wider community. Our Headteacher, Mrs Nelmes is currently engaged inThe Department for Education (DfE) Mental Health Lead Training to develop the knowledge and skills to implement an effective whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing in our school. We also have a team of dedicated team of staff with a passion for supporting mental health and wellbeing.

Our dedicated team offer a range of support for children, including Forest School sessions, Drawing and Talking, and social and emotional interventions including Lego Therapy. We follow a whole school approach to Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) from Jigsaw PSHE Health and Wellbeing to ensure we provide up to date, engaging lessons around a range of subjects. Jigsaw is a spiral, progressive and effective scheme of work, aiming to prepare children for life, helping them really know and value who they are and understand how they relate to other people in this ever-changing world.
