Online Safety
Online Safety is an important part of safeguarding children at Staverton CE Primary School. Online Safety is taught to all pupils explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe online. We have security measures in place in school, to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material. Any Online Safety incidents are managed in accordance with our Online Safety policy.
We believe working with parents is of paramount importance to ensure a consistent Online Safety message is given to our children. The school runs Online Safety sessions to support parents in the safe use of the internet by children at home.
In the side panel is a fantastic download of a Parent Awareness Booklet which has been produced by Simon Aston, Northamptonshire’s County Council E-Safety Officer. This booklet accompanied our latest Internet Safety Parent Information Session.
There are great ways that families can keep children safe online. A family agreement is a great way to start a conversation as a whole family about how the internet should be used safely and responsibly when online at home, at school or at a friend's house. To support parents in creating a family agreement Childnet International have put together some free advice and a helpful family agreement template for families to use as a starting point.
